Al Rifai Roastery, established in Lebanon in 1948, is a recognized global brand known for its gourmet nuts, chocolate, spices and coffee. ArchJS was provided the task of redesigning a new concept for one of their new locations in Kuwait catering to the contemporary market today.
While aiming to maintain Al-Rifai's authentic Mediterranean brand identity, ArchJS' objective was to modernize the new space distinguishing it from the rest of the brands' shops.
With that and considering the brand has a history of importing/exporting goods, we developed a concept of creating a modernized souq like environment. Custom designed furniture and luggage carrying the Al Rifai logo have been produced displaying various merchandise throughout the shop.
The store layout is simple and modular in design. A display and shelving system is created around the shops perimeter allowing the middle area of the shop to be completely devoted for customer service. Neutral toned materials such as natural oak wood, stained wood, stone are applied so customers are drawn towards the displayed merchandise. A black and white Mediterranean inspired pattern is also applied to the floors to provide an edgier feel to the shopping environment.
