The main thing in any project is the balance of all components of the interior.
Using the example of the airport in Blagoveshchensk, we wanted to tell you more about this.
In modern times, one of the most important is the balance between wildlife and artificial technology. Many people love big cities for their modern and technological infrastructure, but prefer to relax in the countryside in nature.
We analyzed the natural and man-made images of the region and found that most of them are based on the shape of a triangle.
The triangle symbol has become a key element in the project. He set the shape of the cliff-shaped facade, determined the zoning of the landscaping of the territory, as well as manifested himself in many details in the interior.
The dynamic structure of the ceiling is formed by trapezoidal lamellae that close into triangles, which allows you to improve acoustics like a Schroeder diffuser.
The ceiling triangles are filled with membrane fixtures, creating a soft uniform light.
This solution is interconnected with engineering systems. The membrane lights are segmented to provide the required irrigation radius for the sprinkler system.
The most important balance in the interior is the color balance between warm and cold tones.
The airport space is decided mainly in white and gray. To harmonize the color scheme, we added accent warm details.
The composition of three-dimensional triangles on the walls is made of embossed gypsum panels, qualitatively imitating wood. Real wood cannot be used according to fire regulations.
The sittings refresh the interior with terracotta color.
When designing each element of the interior, we thought about the comfort of passengers. The seats are equipped with places to recharge mobile devices, and there is a children's play area in the departure hall.
Another important balance in the interior is the balance of detail.
Large shapes in the interior of a large space are perceived expressively from afar, if not defragmented into small volumes and details. But at the same time, large elements may look bad at close range due to a lack of detail.
To avoid this, we have endowed large interior shapes with details that are revealed only up close.
For example, the floor from a distance is a single dark gray fill. And only, on closer inspection, the texture of the terrazzo will be discernible. Terrazzo fractions of different sizes detail the floor covering to the right extent for its correct perception from a close distance.
The floor covering is a porcelain stoneware with a unique texture, specially made specifically for this project.
The balance of information is another crucial balance for any space. We have integrated information boards and advertising elements into the project in such a way that they visually do not overload the perception of the interior.
There are many other important elements of interior balance that are important to consider when designing, we will talk about them in the following posts.
