ÅHUSENE

STATUS
Concept
In collaboration with SKALA Arkitekter, OBH Gruppen and MASU planning.

Åhusene are a series of smaller, independent houses with gable roofs connected by a light glass corridor. This architecture leads the mind towards classical Danish high-density building of high quality. It has been essential for the team to create houses that appear attractive and deinstitutionalised.

The houses are constructed as pre-fabricated concrete elements. The facade is made of tiles that are used both for the outside walls and the roof. The tiles are chosen in different colour tones from light grey tones to darker warm colours. The structure of the tiles means that the building gets a beautiful, rustic and exclusive face expression. Tiles reflect light and they change in line with the weather.

The shared facilities feature large glass panels from the floor to the ceiling. A series of smaller roof light windows provide further light to the houses. All houses have direct access to a smaller private terrace.
