A restoration and adaptive reuse project for the auxiliary buildings at the Student Village was designed by Burak Asiliskender, Nilüfer Baturayoğlu Yöney and Argeus Architects. These are small buildings in pairs, comprising of six storage spaces, one for each apartment in the building it was originally associated with. The design makes use of a pair, enveloping them in a completely glazed steel framed structure, creating a cafe and student commons. The original stone masonry buildings are re-designed as kitchen, service spaces and lavatories while the new envelope creates a large hall, which will serve as an eating, studying and social space for the students residing in the campus.
