The Agricultural Machinery Museum is located in Zhouzhuang, Xiuwu County, Henan Province, surrounded by vast expanses of farmland. The project entails building a modest exhibition hall dedicated to showcasing agricultural machinery, with the aim of educating visitors about agricultural knowledge and innovations Built with the aim of embrace the China's agricultural heritage and its advancements in mechanization, this museum harmonizes with the surrounding landscape in both form and function.
Designed with a fusion of Modern aesthetics and innovative lightness, the museum presents a striking, sculptural presence within the open fields. Instead of traditional rigid structures, the design employs an elaborate facades and refined lines to divide spaces with subtle cultural references, creating a sense of elegant airiness that “floats” above the farmland. This aesthetic choice offers a distinctive interplay between solidity and openness, allowing the museum to resonate with the surrounding emptiness while expressing a rich cultural narrative.
The museum spans 1,000 square meters, with a net indoor area of 600 square meters, comprising an entrance corridor, front exhibition hall, main exhibition hall, office space, and a rear garden. While dedicated to showcasing agricultural machinery, the museum also serves as a community hub for village activities and a children's activity center, offering multifunctional space that contributes to the local community's cultural and educational growth.
