Traditional California barn vernacular has been given a modern twist with updated materials and building methods. Nestled into the landscape, the home’s construction combines a board-formed concrete base with a prefabricated metal structure. Outside, board on board–shaped custom metal siding is topped with a square-rib corrugated metal roof in subtle earthen tones.
