Reinterpretation of an Adirondack lean-to, a traditional timber structure designed to temporarily house campers and hikers in Upstate New York. The reinterpreted version was designed to accomodate a couple staying on their property as they survey their land to eventually design and build a permanent home. The structure was to overcome a couple of shortcomings of the traditional lean-to, a lack of protection from bears while sleeping and low headroom, while maintaining the character of the vernacular form.
