The project consist of an addition of a 125 sq meters space to the existing Benidorm Servef-Inem center, in order to get a new independent access at street level for the Servef facilities, as well as to the busy first floor, where most of the public is attended.
The old Center had only one Access at street level, that was used by both of the Servef and Imen workers as well by the general public, and the only way to get to the upper level was trough a two way stair.
This refurbishing project includes a new public´s attention area; a new stair and an elevator to get to the first level were all the main facilities are located. This way the different two public services housed in the same office get their own spaces.
The combination of the few materials used; wood, natural stone and glass, in conjunction with indirect illumination creates an elegant and warm ambience.
The façade for both the new access and old access was totally re-designed in order to accommodate the new air conditioning installations inside of it. The new design incorporate all the ventilation elements that were needed combined with a continuous glass front with automatic sliding glass doors, protected by another manually operated sliding glass panels used to close the center at night.
