This redesign of Washington D.C.'s largest conservative synagogue follows a master plan created to redefine the 95,230-square-foot building. Built in 1950, its worship services, school and community outreach have changed over the years, requiring a new approach to many of its activities. The redesign of the Sanctuary and other important public spaces will transform the way the building is used for a new generation. The complete master plan will be realized in multiple phases.
