Located just outside the historical city centre, the site is part of the Yuregir region designated to become future’s commercial and business destination of Adana. Eray/Carbajo’s designs would transform the region into one of Europe’s largest urban business zones, while maintaining a public park at its core. As the “Finance Island” of Adana, the properties will accommodate finance and energy companies as main tenants, while hosting cultural, commercial and educational activities on site. This project will transform the existing district - an old industrial zone of mostly unoccupied single story buildings - into a new sustainable city centre for the town. The site and its surrounding infrastructure are thus designed to be environmentally friendly with a low carbon footprint. This example of a smart district, is expected to open doors for public in 2017.
