The heading acupuncture indicates a series of residential projects located inside areas of new expansion in the second urban belt, mainly in the Province of Bologna. Like acupuncture, these projects attempt to communicate compositional variety, showing inhabitants that other ways of dwelling are possible.
The interpretation is therefore collective, and gains force by attributing to every high-quality result an action of conscious resistance against the housing standardization proposed exclusively over the last few decades, and by asserting the educational role of architecture.
An architecture of doing whose development is based on theoretical models of reference that while changing form and expression can continue to be able to communicate civic goals. Formal difference as a tool of communication, that sets out to also include social, spatial and conceptual issues in the architecture, for which the model is the synthesis and the premise.

In acupuncture#5 the evolution consists of the introduction of new relationships on the theme of material, on the reinterpretation of brick, which evolves into a "clinkerized" unit not only to gauge the boundary between interior and exterior, but also to delve deeper into the relationship between concept and experience.
The boundary, formed here by means of lines and jalousies that attenuate the rigidity, becomes an opportunity for a multiplication of meanings: a crossable border, an impenetrable barrier, the contemplation of the threshold, of the horizon, prompting a heterogeneous vision of the society in which cultural barriers are broken down and not erected.
