The heading acupuncture indicates a series of residential projects located inside areas of new expansion in the second urban belt, mainly in the Province of Bologna. Like acupuncture, these projects attempt to communicate compositional variety, showing inhabitants that other ways of dwelling are possible.
The interpretation is therefore collective, and gains force by attributing to every high-quality result an action of conscious resistance against the housing standardization proposed exclusively over the last few decades, and by asserting the educational role of architecture.
An architecture of doing whose development is based on theoretical models of reference that while changing form and expression can continue to be able to communicate civic goals. Formal difference as a tool of communication, that sets out to also include social, spatial and conceptual issues in the architecture, for which the model is the synthesis and the premise.

In acupuncture#3 the space has been conceived like the inside of a camera, representing the center of the visible, of the negative, where the presence of color acts as a trace, penetrating through the shutter-windows placed on the walls and ceilings, imprinting always different cones of light.
The house is built with a support structure in laminated wood, exposed to view on the walls and ceilings, and is designed to be independent in terms of energy, disconnected from the gas network, powered by a photovoltaic system connected to a mechanical geothermal heat pump. The internal layouts are flexible. Acupuncture #3 opens its windows towards the sides that ensure privacy and sunlight, towards the countryside to the south and the bank of the nearby river to the west, making it possible to utilize the garden as an extension of the living area.
