Personal Rationale - As a child I remember my brother and I look forward to the moment we step into our home after school and instantly run in the garden, start playing, riding our bikes and building our tree house with some thrown branches and bricks we have collected. I remember those days with great nostalgia, and this is what the word childhood reminds me of. Looking at my 10 year old sister, overwhelmed by technology, I am questioning myself of what could be the changes contributed to the new lifestyle and the children of her generation do not get entertained in the same ways of mine.
I often have the sense that they are adults hidden in child bodies; having their own cell phones, their Ipad’s, watching TV and act many other adult habits. Children are not happy. They are obliged to grow up earlier without seem to enjoy that. Whose fault is it? Children’s, parents, or society’s?
Project Aims - To design a Learning and activity Eco – Centre, exciting, impressive and attractive to children, while making them feel the curiosity of exploring the miracles of nature.
A completely new approach to nature which will give the spark to discover possible ways of real joy and happiness through the understanding of our surroundings while playing and enjoying. A space that parents will wish to bring their children in, educate themselves, socialize with each other and make connections.
