Located at the street end of the American Community School campus, the new Faculty Building serves as both residences for faculty members and classrooms for students. The articulation of the façade underlines this duality while keeping the same tectonics throughout with a continuous rhythm of vertical louvers wrapping around the building.
The Academic spaces take up the base of the building: 4 floors reserved for 5th grade classrooms and Arabic rooms and 1 basement floor with a Music room and a multi-purpose room. The second basement is used for the building storage as well as the technical areas of the building.
Circulation passages are exposed and enliven the façade of the building with student flow. Green spaces occupy the recesses between the 4 floors.
The upper section of the building houses 16 apartments for faculty members on 8 floors and 1 duplex for the school head master at the top.
