The total redesign of the changing room area led to the realization of two spaces of about 200metres square each one - for both home teams, Inter and Milan - and one of about 150 sm for guest teams. This has permitted to personalize the two environments according to the Football Clubs' 'corporate image'. Choosing the right finishing materials and personalized interior designs of Milan's changing room has been a real plan into the plan. If already distributive layout and space morphology are innovative, in comparison with most of the new stadia, in the interior design and in the finishing materials this thought of innovation was more and more concrete. Reproducing the stylistic and chromatic image of A.C.Milan's Club in the changing room means commemorating intothe stadium historical places which players are tied to. Immediately in the entrance hall you feel plunged in a completely different atmosphere. Colours that cover every inch of the room let people, who come in, understand but one thing: we are in A.C.Milan's home. Changing rooms spaces are distributed along two principle axis: close to the entrance there is the coach changing room, a wide space for him and his collaborators, where they meet to discuss schemes and tactics before matches. Walking on, you find the massage room, 30metres square large, with 4 ergonomic beds for athletes massages, a physiotherapy bed and a medical room for the light suture operations in case of serious accidents during the match. For coverings they have chosen a resistant and elegant material like rolled aluminium section and a huge mirror wall to make the room larger. Pavements in red rubber and the white walls with red-black stripes are the 'Leitmotiv' of all environments. At the bottom of the corridor you arrive into real heart of Milan's changing room. It is an elliptical room in which all players are arranged radially around a central point to emphasize team and union consciousness. It is the concept of the round table, which everyone joins honouring the commitment to reach the same result. All particulars are studied in every single detail: every player has got generous room at his disposal and strongly personalized. They wanted to focus on a concept that had been already applied by other societies, like for example by Real Madrid, i.e. a spirit of belonging to a space, reserved to team champions. Personalized ergonomic armchairs have been purposely studied to give a high level of comfort to players but transmitting them at the same time a gritted and sporting character, thanks to their innovative design. Designed by Francesco Ragazzi, the chairs are highly comfortable, ergonomic and covered with a very resistant technical leather and above all personalized with Milan's colours. LCD monitors become part of the concept of personalization. For the first time in Europe they have been put into a changing room and, together with shirts, allow to personalize every space with name and number of every player. Presence of technological instrumentation permits so great flexibility in the attendance of this space, which has been already used for promotion of some sponsor products. Changing room is besides integral part of stadium Tour and San Siro's museum, like it happens in the biggest stadia in Europe; this could become a new way to approach supporters more and more to A.C.Milan philosophy, showing videos about the Club. A big oval table in the centre of changing room is lightened from the bright ceiling above, emphasizing better Milan's logo impressed on its support surface.Just close to this table, in the principal focal point of changing room, the trainer illustrates players schemes and strategies of match with a overhead projector and a big LCD screen. Going on, we find an area with showers, WC and 9 hair-driers, doubled in space compared to past times. Highly ergonomic and resistant Supplies and accessories become part of a chromatic context that draws strongly the attention on the society image. In conclusion, but not less important, we find space dedicated to people who make possible a high level of efficiency and professionalism of players. We are talking about technical staff, who together with doctors and masseurs, finds here a functional space. This to confirm once more Milan's philosophy, according to which everybody, in the same measure, contributes to great goals.
