Jubi and Anu are a couple residing in Dubai with their two children. They approached us with a clear picture in their mind about what they wanted while designing their house.
The humanistic desire to be culturally connected to one's surroundings is reflected in harmonious architecture.
The approach was to respond to the traditional architecture and respond in a contemporary way,
extract its essence yet arrive at a fresh and innovative interpretation of the same.
The 7200 sq. ft site is located in a private enclave, away from the chaotic hustle and bustle
of the city.
A climate-sensitive design with sloping roofs and large overhangs is positioned to combat the heavy monsoon. Semi-permeable spaces such as a patio and large expanses of the veranda
from the dining room take advantage of the tropical climate of kerala
