ABN AMRO asked Janko Rasic Architects to create a clean, sleek, high-performance workplace for its New York office. Worker satisfaction, health and comfort are critical to productivity and natural light is extremely important to the health and psychological well-being of office workers. In the design, Janko Rasic Architects made a conscious decision to provide each occupant with access to natural light and views to the outside. All perimeter offices have full height glass fronts to maximize daylight penetration, ease communication, and increase collaboration. All open work areas have access to windows and views, many of which overlook planted green roof terraces as does the staff coffee bar. Stairs directly off the reception area allow staff and visitors access to a full block long terrace along Park Avenue with views of the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings used for casual meetings and events.
Since 2011, Janko Rasic Architects was worked with the bank on multiple expansions, the most recent of which was completed in 2018.
