The building is designed to ensure the best learning
environment for students and encourage alternative and kinesthetic methods of
learning. The classes are modeled to provide natural sun light throughout
the day to every class and provide a place for outdoor classes in the shade.
Every block shifts horizontally in two directions and
rotates in accordance to its arrangement to shade an area equal to half its
original area in a particular hour of the day for each block. This prevent the
entire school from going out at the same time and the while the vertical
setback keeps the other classes away from distractions.
The library is an
essential part of the building and is divided into two levels and students can
meet after class on its green roof. The library is seen from every part of the
project even from the exterior of the building and it acts like a hub for
student interactions.
The library, Labs and supervisors offices act as an
isolation block to prevent noises from the street.
The void between the classes and the library-labs block
can be used as the school yard, and experimentation area, a public garden and
it allows student to interact and communicate in a safe environment and it
plays a key role in isolating the classes from the street.
The spaces between the classes and the streets can be
used also as a public garden or an open urban space for the neighborhood to be
used in the summer.
