A House , Sriracha, Chonburi, Thailand
A modern house for a single family who has a dull life in the condominium located in the Sriracha, Chonburi, Thailand. The challenge of this project was to place a 2-story house building for 5 people and a guest area. The land has pie-shaped plot with a wide front and narrow back. My goal was trying to achieve the most reasonable view and usability. As a designer, therefore, I proposed images of the vacation home that residents can use in daily life as a rest and comfortable place on the concept of tropical architecture.
By looking at the condition of the area, we found that the front of the project is wider than the back which is closer to lake side. Therefore, the point that should be paid attention to in this project was how to make every part of the house have a good view, comfortable and convenient to the user.
We placed the building next to the vacant land. Then place the main living area in the middle of the area. This gave residents a good view and shaded from the building leading onto a terrace that connects the main building to the reservation pavilion. There was a swimming pool stretching from the living room parallel to the garden to the back of the project, creating a special relaxation experience for the residents.
Another affect of the building, it also allowed the terrace area to blow through the wind all year round. It was also designed to have window openings in the south and north side of the building , which were the main directions of the wind in the area. This helped reduce humidity and heat as well.
The interior was design with the hierarchical of the accessibility of the user from the garage through the storage area for personal belongings then enter to the double floor space and sunken living area with the impressive view of the swimming pool and lake view from the window
The cross section shows the view of the living room through the swimming pool. Which creates a special feeling for the space and the user .
Moreover there are also having a gym with the view of the garden, multipurpose room, elderly bedroom and Thai – kitchen with the laundry, storage and maid area in the 1st floor.
In the second floor, the Master bedroom has mini bar, dressing room, and a bathroom with the lake view. On the other side of the building also have a kids bedroom and prayer room.
