This projection involved the skillful renovation of, and modern addition to, and 4 story historic masonry building in downtown Jersey City. This mixed use building contains commercial space on the lower floors with 17 spacious residential units above. Our solution was to insert an elegant glass volume behind and above the existing building. This allows the Historic facade to remain and be emphasized while also creating setback roof areas which provide outdoor terraces for the residential units. Total floor area = 36,500sf
