Located in Liberty Village in Toronto, this site is comprised of the renewal of two existing historical buildings, 40 Hanna Avenue and 10 Liberty Street, along with a new office building, 99 Atlantic Avenue.
40 Hanna Avenue is a five storey heritage office building in Liberty Village in Toronto. The project consists of the complete refurbishment and restoration of the building skin, along with multiple new entrances for three key uses: office, retail and restaurant. The project includes a new main entrance and new lobby, connecting all levels of the building as well as providing access to the new office building. The floor plates and the existing building are comprised of heavy timber construction and numerous freight elevator shafts were converted into a useable area. A loading dock and office-type amenity spaces will be shared with the new office building. WZMH has completed a number of tenant fit out projects and as well as landlord’s work on the site over the past few years. Projects included the introduction of new elevators, new mechanical and electrical rooms as well as lobby upgrades. In all cases, the design solutions integrated the heavy timber structure.
The Scotiabank retail branch at 10 Liberty Street provides a full service branch for Scotiabank in the heart of Liberty Village.
