This project is about defining spaces with sculptural shapes and rich colors. The art from the
Ivory Coast, selected by the clients, informed the color palette for the Living and Dining Rooms.
The spaces addressed the need for casual, familial spaces while blending a sense of subtle
formality for those special occasions. The layout of the spaces and the clients' preference called
for a flexible, open plan with spaces flowing one into the other.
The project took a global approach to design by blending the family's multicultural background,
personal sensibilities as well as their travels. The furniture selections were about layering artful,
sculptural pieces within a minimalist, comfortable setting.
The art and accessories completed the spaces and originated from a curated selection of
various mediums and subjects. The spaces are a personalized and unique reflection of the
family's story and travels.
