The original wood windows in this Park Slope rowhouse had been replaced with aluminum windows, resulting in violations from the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission. PB+A specified and detailed four different historically appropriate window types, including eight-foot-tall curved glass “cottage-style” windows, for different locations in the building. We obtained a Certificate of Appropriateness from the LPC, found window manufacturers for the job, administered the construction process, and got the violations dismissed, which allowed the owner to alter and refinance the building.
