From the Architect:
“This project is part of a personal exploration where different volumes and the void generated between them are protagonists. The volume was proposed as a large white box that has been excavated with different “cubes” of various materials (wood, white stucco, etc.) appearing within. The social area on the first level was created with a dual purpose: 1- the area layout was designed to overlook not only the canal in the back of the house, but also the pool area and boardwalk; 2. The layout breaks the continuity of the orthogonal walls of nearby houses. This generates a particular vantage point from the street leading to the canal.”
