Advent Software moved from a slowly evolving floor by floor campus type facility to a 100,000 sqft shell building to help departments to work more closely with each other and allow for future expansion. Adjacencies were a prominent feature in a design where each floor was 40,000 sqft.
Cork circulation routes branches off from a central lobby on each floor, to support separate office cubes set away from exterior windows. Workstations are set in clusters around each office with varying density, but allow for office privacy.
Key materials are beech veneer, cork flooring, suspended metal ceilings, exposed tube steel, and acid etched glass. The project was completed in October 2006 and Advent continues to grow within the building.
