The 567 Collins Street project is a 55,000m2 office development located on Melbourne’s most prestigious street, and at the heart of its burgeoning west end business and transport hub.
This PCA Premium Grade commercial office building is certified 5 Star Green Star and 5 Star NABERS rating. It offers an efficient, effective and flexible building to suit the ideals of a modern and desirable workplace. It comprises a two-level foyer, inclusive of lobby, cafe and retail, two levels of health club, seven levels of podium campus office and fifteen levels of tower premium office space.
The ground levels draw the street in to provide a vibrant town square atmosphere with connection to street, forecourt and foyer, ‘a city within a city’. A building entry height of 16m transitions to a foyer height of 8m, creating a lively and diverse offering of retail, breakout space within identifiable aesthetics of the foyers.
567 Collins Street also captures the spirit of the contemporary work environment. The key principles that inform its architecture include a connected and interconnected workplace, amenity, transparency, flexibility, contextual fit and environmental responsiveness.
The brief was to design the base building with ultimate flexibility to allow the building owner (Investa) to easily manipulate the base building to cater for specific anchor tenant requirements.
The resultant core design enables a range of options varying from single floor tenants to multi-tenants per floor and 8,000m2 – 20,000m2 to be incorporated into a single rise.
Other innovative features include a highly efficient full height perimeter glazed curtain wall mounting panoramic views of surrounding Melbourne city and skyline.
567 Collins Street was a joint venture with Cox Architects.
