The facade created from the reclaimed relics of architecture that are left in the surrounding neighborhoods allows for an inexpensive cladding providing a graphic quality akin to the gritty neighborhood that this area has become. This building will act as the headquarters for all of the 555 locations located about Detroit. The main level acts as both the offices as well as a main level gallery area. 555 Nonprofit Gallery and Studios is a volunteer artist-run arts organization providing affordable studios and work space, gallery space, exhibition programs, arts education programs, and an artist in residency program.
