Designed around a central courtyard, this 3,500 sf residence responds to the site restrictions, narrow setbacks, views, and existing natural features. The entry and circulation space are designed as a light infused central spine which joins the public spaces at the ground level with the private areas above.
The courtyard breaks the massing of the project bringing natural daylight to the interiors without sacrificing privacy nor security. Various roof levels, sliding glass walls and operable clerestory windows allow the circulation of fresh air.
Balconies and terraces create extensions of the interior spaces, providing a unique relationship to the outdoors.
