Completed at the end of 2017, the new LEED Platinum headquarters for San Francisco-based Pinterest are designed with the possibility of adding a tower in the future. This means that the building must be strong enough to support the possible tower, even though the podium is will be built by itself first. The proposed expansion will add 165 feet to the podium.
The 150,000-square-foot building includes plentiful open workspace, maker lab, design studio, meeting rooms, lounge spaces, and an osite cafeteria for Pinterest employees. The building is located next to one of the new stops of the Central Subway, and down the street from the city’s main Caltrain station.
