At 50 Minuteman Park, the first of six new buildings on the Minuteman campus, Stantec initiated the park’s design vocabulary of light-catching atria, exterior glazing in a mosaic of blue and green, and white metal panels, elements that reflect the technologies based within.
Set on 102 acres of pastoral farmland, Minuteman Park represents the future industrial base of Andover, Massachusetts. Developer Brickstone Properties commissioned Stantec to design 50 Minuteman Park to house the administrative, customer service, research, and development functions of a technology company. Our challenge was to design a building that would support these functions, with the flexibility to accommodate other tenants in the future. The campus will eventually be home to six new buildings, of which 50 Minuteman Park is the first. At a projected total of 1.38 million square feet, the campus and buildings will utilize a common vocabulary to achieve diverse yet cohesive design results. The building at 50 Minuteman accommodates offices, electronics research and development labs, and a customer data service center. A central atrium is the focus of the interior space, allowing natural light to enter the building. Each half of the building is serviced by its own dedicated core, providing future flexibility and possible multi-tenant leasing
