4th Farhad Residential building is a six-unit residential complex located in the Malekabad garden district of Mashhad, with a frontage measuring 13.40 meters. The building’s façade is composed of a series of suspended terraces which, contrary to conventional approaches, shift in elevation in a stepped manner along the building’s face. These terraces not only influence the external appearance of the building but also engage with the internal spatial programming of the residence.
Functioning as connective paths, the terraces allow residents to engage with outdoor views from various levels. This sequence ultimately leads to a suspended breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen, offering a distinctive and elevated experience of beginning the day. As a result, the façade transforms from a flat graphical surface into a spatial layer defined by movement and function.
Along the southern edge of the project, four rooms are arranged in a layout that diverges from typical four-bedroom plans commonly seen in similar-width plots. This configuration introduces a private, naturally lit living space, while the fourth room—conceived as a workspace—benefits from a narrow strip of daylight and a framed view toward the outdoors.
Despite its limited width, 4th Farhad Residential Building includes a full range of shared amenities, such as a home cinema, event hall, gym, swimming pool, and a rooftop garden with a dedicated walking path. The parking areas are designed as split-levels, maximizing capacity while providing a smoother and more comfortable driving experience for residents.
