415 Olive is a second story addition and modern updates to an existing 1950's ranch home in an established urban neighborhood. The ranch look was maintained on the front facade, with the exception of a popped up light box over the entry. The second story addition was downplayed with simple materials and a flat roof. The second floor overhangs the backyard to create a covered outdoor dining space. Primary materials include clear cedar wood, smooth, hand-troweled stucco, steel, fiberglass windows and smooth plaster walls.
