This adaptive re-use project is the repurposing of a drab two Storey office block. Now offering 5 floors of various sized apartments overlooking the CBD of Sandton Johannesburg.
The design aims to keep the primary concrete floors and columns and re-use existing in-fill clay bricks for new internal walls. The overall concept is to create a sustainable design, by applying the following strategies. Firstly reducing the building waste by reusing up to 75% of existing building materials and waste. Secondly implementing sustainable green buidling elements such as greywater recycling, reverse osmosis water treatment, water storage and P.V. panels for electricity.
