3D
Printing_Zcorp
These
projects were designed in a Digital Fabrication class, which was designed to
help students physically produce computer-generated projects. The main program
used in the class was TopMod. The program allows creativity to flow through
unique tools and commands. All of these projects were designed using computer
programs then 3-d printed, using the Zcorp 3-d printer.
Ceramic
Printing_Zcorp
This
project is completely experimental, and all work is being done via independent
studies. The goal is to print with ceramic powder, using the Zcorp
3-d
printer; ultimately firing and glazing the pieces. All of these shapes were
designed in TopMod and altered in 3DS Max Design. This project is currently
being altered, by analyzing and changing the powder mixture. The current
powders are being analyzed in the Material Science Department at Penn State,
which will allow a new alternative mixture to be created. Test samples will be
printed within the month (February 2011).
