Inspired by the traditional architectures of the indigenous peoples of Canada's West Coast, the project aims to leverage construction 3D printing technology to connect the communities future to its past. The Ovoid shaped forms reference indigenous artwork. System design and mass customization is a main goal for the project enabling every community member/family to configure their house based on their needs and lot dimensions. The combination of houses will bring forward the cultural togetherness of the past in the form of a village. The material used for printing is a biobased concrete mix mostly replacing cement with wood products. The material is currently going through tests and is developed by FPInnovations in Quebec Canada.
