The project is divided into two blocks supported on a plinth that covers the height difference of the topography providing the complex with an access to the pedestrian access at one level and the parking at the other.
The two buildings are anchored to the plinth in the boundaries of the site and joined together by a wall that limits public and private space. The given proximity between buildings of the planning is qualified through a mechanism of small setbacks, enlarging the point of greatest tension in the set. The volume was empty on the top floor, losing the houses oriented to north, improving the natural lighting between buildings. The expanding void between the ground floor causing two porches where lie the entrance halls. There are 36 apartments of about 40 m2 for young people, distributed through a single central core that brings together serving spaces. The rooms can be read as a continuous serving space,
and flexible. The move of the core from the center of gravity of the plant release sufficient distance to
bring the entry threshold, the wash area and kitchen, while the free part creates a double circulation that allows to perceive the space as unlimited so that never turns back. The occupation of the core, activates the void around it, which is not so much as left-over space but as a space that is discovered as we travel round it, as it empties itself. The indiscriminate use of interior space results in the use of a single type of window for composing the facade. Traffic noise of the apartments next to the street generates the need for an acoustic filter, a gallery whose shadow give some depth to the facade, while the shutters of the windows stand out from plane gives changing shadows depending on the orientation. Four large openings pattern general texture of the building, attending to far look from the Ronda de Dalt.
