With this project to refurbish a historical apartment in the centre of Rome, we kept the personalities of the busy young owners very much at the heart. We wanted to preserve the authentic fabric of the structure, the original terracotta floor and wooden beams, but to create a space for living and entertaining.
For this reason, we demolished internal walls to create more light and a fluid living space. The kitchen is cosy and comfortable, with furnishings that mix contemporary and modern.
Beautiful wooden floors unite the living space and we’ve used Carrara marble for the bathrooms to give a high quality finish. Throughout the apartment, we have selected both contemporary and vintage pieces – a Tulip Table and modern art sits alongside antique Chinese pieces. Colours are bright and textiles are rich and vibrant.
