The operation consists in the residential conversion and the securing of the ground floors of the housing group PARTANT situated rue Raoul Dufy in the Paris 20eme.
The ground floors are set back compared with the principal façade where lay flats with direct openings onto the streets. On the street side, this gap is deployed over four levels.
This configuration has generated disqualified spaces encouraging conflictual practices ( all sort of trafficking) on a street dominated by mineral structures and where ground floors are usually deprived from openings.
The answer was to introduce a vegetal element on the street side by the revegetation of the withdrawn spaces.
The ground floors protected by fences have been turned into gardens. On the extremity, the façade has been covered with vegetation over the four levels. This mean is thus giving a bucolic character to the building which participate in improving the feel of the place.
