Positioned in Denver's Lower Highlands neighborhood, the 33rd Avenue house is an elongated,
open floor plan with living space split between three full levels. The home is situated on a
narrow 28 feet wide property on the corner of 33rd and Vallejo street, a popular pedestrian area
in the neighborhood. Because of the property’s slenderness and moreover the volume of foot
traffic around the property, a strategic approach to the planning of the home was necessary. It
was a specific project goal to create not only the sense of an open, large floor plan, but a sense
of privacy from the right of way.
