The design for a main entry to the city of Rosarito Beach took into account the all around patterns that exist in the landscape and historic icons that exist. An extraction of those patterns and a abstraction to its simplest form gave way to the development of these series of arches/ribs that undulate mimicking either waves, topography, landscape patters or also iconic arch structures. These silhouettes made out of translucent textile play along the ambient color during the day, and at night they are illuminated with the use of LED lights to reinterpret the natural daylight colors.
