The design aims to enhance the existing 1930's host building; the series of extensions are a contemporary mix of glass, black painted timber and metal which offers a positive - negative language to the white render of the existing house. The skin of the building is a mixture of translucent glass with shading louvres to shade the sun but also provide privacy to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
A double height glazed space separates the master bedroom and bathroom and opens up to the trees to the west.
