This project built by Native in Tarrytown exemplifies our efforts towards Net-Zero Homes. The clients chose not to maximize their home for the market, rather they built what they needed.
The original design included a 2-car carport, Unfortunately, the lot had a really old deed restriction that pushed back the house, and eliminated the carport.
The goal of the project is to be Net-Zero. Some passive solar design elements, include large overhangs and attention to the orientation.
Additional features include Spray foam insulation in the walls and at the roof deck, Anderson windows, Kynar coated metal roofing, Energy Star appliances, dual flush toilets, high efficiency lighting, stained concrete.

We were very honored that 1908 Stamford was chosen for the 2016 Cool House Tour, presented by Texas Solar Energy Society and the Austin Energy.
