The complex is located in the La Perla neighborhood of Mar del Plata City, an area currently undergoing a transformation in its urban fabric and density.
Essence: Public Space – The Home.
The project aims to preserve and enhance the urban value, fostering the interaction between the residential units and the street inherent to the existing neighborhood, ensuring a respectful dialogue with its surroundings. The street serves as the quintessential public space that facilitates this relationship; the medium density allows us to enhance the boundary between the street and the home, enriching the interactions within these interstices.
The access sequence is designed as an experience where various public and semi-public spaces are traversed to reach each dwelling. The public circulation areas are themselves spaces characterized by their structural design, material, and color.
Materializing the Idea: Structural Design.
The structural design materializes the essence of the project. The building is elevated on reinforced concrete porticos that free up the ground floor. The bridge and the metal staircase are conceived as distinctive elements of the project, with their structural design and railings providing unique characteristics.
