Fourplex was remodeled into two live apartments and two work offices. A wheelchair accessible ramp was required to run the entire western side of the building, but the Texas sun made this uninhabitable by itself. A chain link trellis made from inexpensive dog kennel panels formed a screen on which Passion flowers grew, Gulf Fitinia butterflies fed and multiplied, and Daylilies blossomed.Winner of a Houston AIA design award.
