An art and event space with an artificial bamboo “hill”. this hill has terraces for sitting, browsing small-scaled art and catalogues in plywood boxes, viewing projections or films in the large open space; a cafe on top with a single large “kitchen table”; a bookshop to its steep side terraces; office and storage areas in its belly. These spatial settings of inside and outside, up and down, sparse and dense define the qualities in this space resulting in an experiential richness through very simple means.
