CBT’s design for the penthouse of this Manhattan-style concierge, high rise residential building was tailored to house the owner’s extensive modern & contemporary art collection. Located on the corner of Clarendon and Beacon Street on the water side in Boston’s Back Bay and overlooking the Charles River on one side and the Back Bay skyline on the other, this 60-unit contemporary residential building is comprised of rental units and condominiums and has some of the most desirable views in the entire city.
The design concept was shaped by the owner’s desire to create a home for his extensive modern and contemporary art collection which now adorns the walls of the lobby, the residential corridors, and the owner’s penthouse apartment. Key considerations included appropriate lighting, security, furniture
and finishes that are beautiful, functional, are complementary to this very personal collection of artwork
