After studying the program for the housing, the land topography and urbanconditions, the studio designed two rows of houses with their respective accessroads: one higher on the western boundary of the site and another lowerdown on the site. The general access is in the far southeast. From this point,an ascending road connects the two streets leading to the rows of houses. To overcome the irregularity of the land four types of houses were developed. Each home has an individual access and the site includes a car park spaceunder a pergola. In addition, garages were placed under the slope of the landand with roof gardens, so that they will not be noticed. All the houses have two wings separated by a hall with a sea view: one forthe common areas and kitchen-utility rooms, and the other for the bedroomsuites. The living-dining room sector boasts wide exterior porches, with canopies. The pool and terrace-garden area complete the house. The slopes aremaintained by stone walls or rock gardens and plants to form the main terrace. The architectural concept of the houses demands sea views from allrooms and the integration with the garden, as well as the establishment ofcourtyards to separate the rooms. The construction is characterized by the traditional system of weight-bearingwalls and slabs of prestressed beams. Emphasis is on natural elements suchas stone and wood floors, planted rooftops, and heather-shaded porches.
