The 7th Street Mixed Use Project in the Shaw neighborhood of Northwest Washington, DC features twelve assisted living units with common spaces and twenty apartments – all surrounding an inviting landscaped courtyard.
Situated near Metro and bus lines as well as shopping and night life, this building makes the most of its urban setting. By incorporating retail space along 7th Street and accommodating a variety of living arrangements from assisted living to families with children, it contributes to the vibrant diversity of the city.
On the first and second floors are the assisted living units with views to the courtyard and access to private patios. Residents can also occupy the large adjacent terrace overlooking the courtyard.
On the third, fourth and fifth floors are apartments ranging in size from studios to three bedrooms. All units have floor to ceiling windows with views to the city and to the courtyard. The goal was to create sustainable efficient and affordable housing which will provide its inhabitants with comfort, light and pride.
