Replacing a two storey 1950's warehouse, this eight storey, mixed-use development comprises retail floor space, office and residential accommodation. The design of apertures both glazed and unglazed, within the Portland stone facade produces a modeling of form dependant on the specific function of the building behind. The restrained contemporary architecture responds sympathetically to the varied urban context of Farringdon Road and visually reconnects and completes what was once a fragmented streetscape.
