This proposal seeks to build a 56 sq.m. extension to an existing 121 sq.m two storey house in Ash Grove, Hemel Hempstead.

There was a single storey side and rear extension in 1992. The application number is B92/0848.

2.1 Assessment
Ash Grove is a cul-de-sac in a residential area in Hemel Hempstead. No. 16 Ash Grove is located in a high density area.
3. Design
The house is a double storey house with the living room, dining room, kitchen, utility room, study and bathroom on ground floor with an independent garage and three bedrooms and a bathroom in the upper floor.
The extension proposed at this stage seeks to create a larger kitchen and dinning area as well as a good flow of space. This extension will be at the right side over the footprint of the plot, taking the same shape as the existing building and will provide three more bedrooms, en suite and with a walk-in wardrobe.
